costume was pretty much Swamp Thing.
During City of Heroes I decided to make the villain
Mandrake. Unfortunately the name was already
taken. So I did some changes on the name and
finally came up with Lotus Mandrake. Lotus made
him sound to feminine so I changed him to a girl and
Lotus Mandrake was born.
The costume was originally suppose to be all vines
and powers to match. Making that in City of Heroes
was impossible so it changed. Lotus Mandrake is
now taking on even a more green look.
A QUICK ORIGIN OF Lotus
Mandrake
Lotus was part of the Plant Empire. Every few years
a plant would be born with the ability to unlink it self
from the seed mind. These individual plants would
become Mandrakes. Mandrakes were the leaders of
the Plant Empire and communicated the Book of Life
to all Plants. As a Mandrake she has fought in
several wars against Humans who are considered the
demons in the Book of Life. Mandrakes are the only
beings that use technology.
Her vessel picked up the outburst of hyperenergy
and she was ordered to investigate this strange blue
planet in the middle of no where and kill any enemy of
the Book of Life.
Lotus Mandrakes Powers
Lotus Mandrake can withstand severe punishment
and heal itself. Even if more then half of her body
has been destroyed she can regrow herself. This
continues regrowth allows her to be resistant to most
attacks.
Lotus Mandrake possesses superhuman speed,
stamina, and reflexes. Allowing her to travel long
distances in a short time. She can only keep up her
speed for short period.
She can grow spines from her body which she can
use to impale someone. She can shoot these spines
any where from her body. These spines hold a type
of poison that can paralyze or even kill the target.
She also has the ability to communicate telepathically
with plant life. It is not known if she can communicate
with all plant life or just those from her species.
